This approach ensures operational engagement at every stage of the implementation cycle – enabling IT enhancements to be delivered at pace whilst minimising the impact on operational performance.

Case Study
Change Management for  IT projects

The Change People worked with a European based organisation to streamline best practice work processes onto a single Global template underpinned by one IT platform. The Programme team consisted of 60 people spanning 4 countries, over a 3 year period.

Our support focussed on the Process Alignment and Business Readiness elements of the Programme:
  • Worked with the Group HR Director, Head of Lean and IT Director to build a project approach which integrated the People, Process and IT strategies and accelerated effective implementation.
  • Hands-on advice and tools provided to the Work stream leads on creating a Global Template - Process Architecture, Procedures, Job Roles design and Training strategy (all aligned to the Systems Infrastructure and Transactions)
  • Developed a Change Management approach and toolbox to ensure business readiness for roll-out (Roadmap, templates, how-to guides) and coached the Global Change Lead on how to implement these at each stage of the project lifecycle.
  • Developed and delivered a modular educational programme for Country Change Agents (HR Managers and Lean Consultants) to build change management capability against the roadmap- supported by individual coaching and in-country reviews.
  • Provided upward feedback to the Group HR Director on the competence and capability of the Country teams to deliver the required changes.

​Project Outcomes :
  • A Global process architecture of Maps, Procedures and Job Roles have been created enabling improved Business Readiness for Go Live
  • A Roadmap and Change Toolbox are available online for Change Agents providing a standard approach to roll-out across each implementation
  • HR / Lean teams managed Go Live and roll-out without external consultancy support.( The Change People were engaged for quarterly problem-solving reviews)
