The pressure on organisations to effectively handle change is increasing year on year. The ability to anticipate and lead change is a key competence in success. We will work with you to diagnose your skills requirements and develop the necessary capability and capacity across your team – senior leaders, technical project specialists and change facilitators. Bespoke development may include : developing the change roadmap; key tools to facilitate the change process; strategies for stakeholder engagement; addressing resistance or functional barriers to change; building personal resilience. Capability development can be designed around : formal training; hands-on project mentoring ; 1:1 coaching. Capability-building is pragmatic and real time utilising live change projects as the vehicle for development.
Developing capability to drive change
The Organisation required the development of an in-house team of change agents capable of rolling out a transformation programme across the wider business.
The Change People were partnered with an in-house Programme Manager and 6 coaches.
Early knowledge transfer took the form of education on the operating model principles and transformation approach, co-facilitation of workshop events and on-the-job coaching on tools and behaviours (Process and Change Management)at each stage of the project lifecycle. The in-house team were then required to progress project activities pulling support where required.
Regular reviews were held with the in-house team to check consistency of understanding, take feedback and plan future stages. A data base of templates and ‘how-to guides was developed to support each stage of the process. Monthly knowledge transfer sessions were delivered covering key skills and behaviours.
Workshops were also held with senior business Sponsors to keep them updated on project progress but also to provide thought-provoking input on the concepts being introduced eg customer insights, leadership requirements etc and develop the mindset and behaviours required to lead the change.
